Scalping for beginners
Forex scalping is the art of using high leverage and a large number of short term trades to steadily increase an account. Usually, only 1 to 5 pips are targeted for each trade. This type of trading appeals greatly to day traders and those looking to minimize the risk involved in trading currencies. Next to money management, “risk control” is the single most important trait to a surviving (and thriving) currency trader. The small amount of time that is spent in the market limits much of the risk in exposure in comparison to a longer term system. Also, the freedom involved in a speedy Forex scalping system in such a liquid market is a “magnet” that drives many traders from other markets to try their hand in currency. A disciplined and steady scalper could seamlessly double or triple an account, and spend only a fraction of the time in the market as a common day trader.

I wouldn’t advice it for newbie’s, it takes a lot of fast-thinking and if you aren’t still used to the forex market it can make you crazy and it wont help you to begin understanding the forex market.

I agree that it is definitely not for beginners and you might find out the hard way that your broker doesn't allow it.

You are welcome!
I trade with ACM and they have no problems with scalping, it’s not because of the brokers opinion that I don’t advice it , it’s the learning experience that newbies should have and that they might think it is so easy, but it’s not

Re: Scalping for beginners
Forex Brokers Hate Scalpers Because They Can Not Profit Off of You, In Fact May Cost Them Money, Resulting in Them Keeping your "profits" because they lost on your scalping trade
I give you an example, suppose you are trading 10 lots of EURGBP. The market suddenly moves in the wrong direction 3 pips in just under two minutes. You get scared and close your trade immediately. You are out of the trade but your broker is stuck with this money in the system.
What this means is that the broker may not be able to pass this transaction in the interbank market for sometimes! So the brokers don't like scalpers. What they want is a trader who trades long term or is a position trader so that they are able to clear the transactions in the interbank market without risk.

Scalping could be profitable but it is very time consuming.

Re: Scalping for beginners
The article can be useful for beginners but I did'n find any mention about the spreads which your broker can set to a specific pair. Because scalping IMHO can be possible only through a spread-free account otherwise your profit can eaten out.

Re: Scalping for beginners
Yes scalping may be difficult for beginners but if any experience person is there with you, you can go for it.
