If you look at instaforex ratings at forexpeacearmy.com, they're at the "scam" status. After looking at the site and chatting with a CSR, I found there are two features that are too good to be true:
* They claim their bank does not charge any wire transfer fee. This is highly unusual and probably a bogus claim.
* They claim their visa card (which can be used as an instrument to withdraw money) does not have any exchange rate commission. I only know of 4 US credit cards out of thousands that offer that - it's probably not an honest claim.

FPA is not a source serious people should trust. They called as scammers after we took our money for advertising back.

We restore our bank fee for ourselves, that is why we write so.

Exchange rate comission does not play any role in that case. If you deposit USD account you have to transfer your funds in USD, if in EUR deposit in same currency. What exchange rate are you talking about?

Actually quite the opposite is written on the web site: "The company doesn’t charge any commission, however, you should take into consideration that payment system itself takes commission as well as bank takes commission for wire transfer." That's an exact quote from the web page faq. Clearly flags are raised when the website makes a different claim than the CSRs. This suggests there is a wire siphoning scam going on. (URL for what wire siphoning means is blocked because I'm a new member)

Exchange rate commission of course always plays a role with credit cards. Credit cards can only be settled in one* currency. Anytime the purchase is in a different currency than the currency used for billing and settling, there is a currency exchange - which nearly always involves a commission for the exchange. Even when the currency is the same, there are still foreign transaction fees with visa or mastercard.

* as an exception, some Chinese credit cards are dual currency, and can be settled and billed in two currencies - but FX fees still apply if charges are not in one of those two currencies.

Since they're far from transparent, I asked them to send me a copy of the terms and conditions for one of their products, expecting that the fine print would clarify everything under all the marketing gloss - and there was no response. And as you can see from this thread, they aren't direct or complete in answering questions that they ultimately don't want clients to have a clear picture of. Don't take the bait.

The first thing in google about instaforex is a stupid Forex Peace Army page claiming a girl named Yulia got scammed by them. If you remember the Felix Green Card scam, Yulia is Felix's girlfriend, the site owner.

FPA always tries to blacken our reputation, because we stopped advertising at their site. This organization is absolutely anonymous, we even can not bring an action against them, because there is no any information about them.

It is time to sum up the results of InstaForex participation in the exhibition World Forex Expo which took place on June 12-13, 2009 in Kuala-Lumpur (Malaysia). We remind that World Forex Expo is a great event that is held in different countries all over the world with the aim of promotion and developing Forex market services.
