America invites China to take part in Pacific Naval Exercises?
This spring, China's navy accepted the Pentagon's invitation to participate in the 2014 Rim of the Pacific — RIMPAC — naval exercise to be held off Hawaii. This will be the first time China takes part in the biennial event.
Our allies should signal their intent to withdraw from the exercise if China participates. Failing that, the invitation should be withdrawn. RIMPAC is for allies and friends, not nations planning to eventually wage war on the United States. Russia sent ships in 2012, but while its senior officers may occasionally utter unfriendly words, they are not actively planning to fight the United States. Analyst Robert Sutter was surely correct when he wrote in 2005 that "China is the only large power in the world preparing to shoot Americans."
That assessment, unfortunately, remains true today. Beijing is configuring its forces — especially its navy — to fight ours. For instance, China has deployed along its southern coast its DF-21D, a two-stage solid-fuel missile that can be guided by satellite signals. The missile is dubbed the "carrier killer" because it can be configured to explode in midair, raining down sharp metal on a deck crowded with planes, ordinance, fuel and sailors. Its apparent intent is to drive U.S. forces out of East Asia.
This is because
AMERICA HOLDS NAVAL EXERCISES TO DEFEAT CHINA IN A POTENTIAL CONFLICT
Why invite your enemy in on this? Did we invite Sadaam Hussein on military exercises near Kuwait in 1991? Did we ask Hitler to play war with us in the Atlantic in 1939?
I don't see a difference, and yes, China is spending BILLIONS upgrading it's military, not to match us man for man, but to hone in on technology that will destroy our naval fleets further and further out... They have carrier killing missiles that can reach 1000 miles, so we can't get closer than Hawaii to Asia. China is flexing it's muscles and will be the super power in Asia and in the Pacific... now we're holding exercises with them?
The only thing I can think is (since they spy on the exercises already with subs and satellites - known fact), why not just invite them to take part, see what they can do, they can see what we can do, but we have a card up our sleeve of some sort... who knows....

What does this have to do with Forex trading or trading in general? People need help with their trading so that they can be successful traders. There is fire on the mountain?

Why do you think that? A war with China would throw the world into financial turmoil...

Re: America invites China to take part in Pacific Naval Exercises?
oh so you think "a little exercise" doesn't signal something to America's allies that we're going soft on China while China's getting more aggressive? You don't think that will make major countries (pairs we trade) like Australia and Japan take measures economically, and that won't affect Forex, NOW

Re: America invites China to take part in Pacific Naval Exercises?
I dunno man, I think you're stretching... if a war comes, yea ok, forex is affected, but I think we'd be more suited to worry about nuclear Armageddon at that point, not the price of the dollar

Re: America invites China to take part in Pacific Naval Exercises?
It's not relevant how much I made this month, or over my career as a trader, NOW THAT'S OFF TOPIC... we just disagree that China getting more aggressive will affect forex... i say yes, you say no... only one of us is right

Re: America invites China to take part in Pacific Naval Exercises?
No, I was getting at YOU being wrong... China's aggression is making all of Asia sit up and choose sides, America or China... and America and the west will **** your currency right up if you oppose them... America seems weak but is still in control of the GOLD, the COMPUTERS that make the little ones and zeroes, and has the strongest military in the world...

I guess China isn't that big of an enemy after all.
