As the title implies, this area is for beginners to Forex or newbies to particular aspects of Forex to ask questions without feeling embarassed. No question is too stupid when it comes to losing or making money!

Please do not post advertisements in this part of ForexForums, they are reserved in their own section or think of becomming a sponsor!

I closely monitor responses to questions and at the end of each month I give out a prize to the most useful response to any post and will gain the winner 1000 points for this board (a $10 value). That's pretty much it, enjoy your stay and I hope you can find out the answers to all your questions.

I made the mistake of posting first on to "Forex Forums Main Discussions" section and didn’t get any response - so here is my post again.

Hi you All - I'm new on this forum and its my first time - going in to the Forex with only a few months practice trading. I'm hopping to get started for real in a few more weeks when
I can get some cash up.
I'm wanting to daytrade and make it a dream to be sufficient at it - My question to you all is
it doable to make a living trading Forex.
Planning to use FXCM platform and opening a account with 5K thinking this would help me
sustains me thru some bad trades. I got 2 PC each with its own monitor and I'm using a
type of indicator some what described here:

( M1 charts is to use hull moving averages. Plot the following WMA's (Weighted Moving Averages) on your chart: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200, 210, 220, 240. Now set price to a line on Average or, if you don't have that, set it to line on Close. Set all the WMA's to one color that is different to price.)

Hi everybody....

I've been trying to trade with profits since 2005....in vain... I am so tired and disappointed....

Guys, all I want is to ask: is anybody using free trade signals provided by www forex-win com? Want to use them myself but need smb's advice first...
Maybe smb has some good ideas?

Just remember that the rule of thumb is to trade at a volume of 1 mini lot per $5,000. If you spread yourself any thinner than that, you are gambling instead of trading. So do not open a standard account with less than $100,000, no matter what your broker allows you to do.
