FOREXFORUMS.com OFFICIAL RISK WARNING AND TERMS OF USE
Please keep the following in mind before contacting us and check our FAQs for commonly asked questions. As a ForexForums.com Member you hereby agree to abide by the following terms and conditions of use.
Full Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability Warning
By Federal Mandate, Foreign Currency Traders Must Read This First
Before deciding to trade real money in the Retail Forex market, you should carefully consider whether this is the right choice for you. Things to consider are your investment objectives, level of experience and risk appetite. Most importantly, do not invest money you cannot afford to lose, i.e., don't trade forex with money you need to survive. There is considerable exposure to risk in any off-exchange foreign exchange transaction, including, but not limited to, leverage, creditworthiness, limited regulatory protection and market volatility that may substantially affect the price, or liquidity of a currency or currency pair. Furthermore, the leveraged nature of forex trading means that any market movement will have an equally proportional effect on your deposited funds. This may work against you as well as for you. The possibility exists that you could sustain a total loss of initial margin funds and be required to deposit additional funds to maintain your position. If you fail to meet any margin requirement, your position may be liquidated and you will be responsible for any resulting losses. To manage exposure, employ risk-reducing strategies such as 'stop-loss' or 'limit' orders.

Privacy
All ForexForums.com members are entitled to complete privacy and freedom from unsolicited emails. Please review our Privacy Notice, which also governs your visit to ForexForums.com to understand our communication methods to members.
Private Messaging from Admins and Moderators with system updates is a necessary aspect of your membership. This need not affect your privacy settings if you select to "not" receive email notifications of Private Messages in your Control Panel ---> User Options. Your membership at this forum will deliver to you your full expectation of privacy and freedom of unwanted emails and system messages, all of which are also able to be modified in your Control Panel. Please keep this in mind before contacting us about unwanted emails and Private Messages that do not contain advertisements which should be reported immediately to an administrator.
Forex Forums Inc and it's staff respects your privacy in the following ways:
* We collect only the most basic of information about our members,
* This information is shared with no one,
* An overall demographic of our audience may be shared with sponsors, but never an individual's information,
* You may change the info provided at any time through your User CP,
* Your information is secured on our encrypted member database,
* Privacy policy changes may be implemented and will be updated on this page;
* if you have any concerns about your privacy while on Forexforums.com please contact us.
When signing up you will be asked certain questions about your trading experience that you can keep private or share with us and it will never be shared with anyone. Not to give away our secret for fighting spam (which is a huge problem for almost every web board) that these answers (if human) would not show certain things bots always show. As a rule of thumb either leave these personal fields blank or answer as a human would and your account will not be at risk of being denied access to the forum. For instance what year did you start trading should obviously be a year, or N/A or none if you do not wish to answer whereas spam bots answer quite differently. We are adding this to our terms of use after it was alleged that we are taking long surveys of members in order to join, in fact, we just want to get to know our audience and do not force the vast majority of these questions to be answered to use the forum beyond the basics. Again no need to worry if you are not human.
Sponsorship & Advertising
The operating expenses incurred by ForexForums.com are primarily funded by sponsored ads and member donations. The types of our advertising include, but not restricted to: banners (with different sizes and styles), and text. In most instances official Advertisements from ForexForums.com will be clearly accompanied by the word "Advertising" or "Sponsor Ad." Becoming a sponsor and by extension displaying a sponsor's ad to the public does not constitute Forex Forums Inc.'s endorsement of the product(s) the advertisement is attempting to sell to the public. Moreover, Forex Forums Inc and it's staff do not earn income from partnerships deals, otherwise known as IB relationships, via our members' trades. If you look through the vast amount of Forex websites, clearly most are biased in some way due to such agreements and it is our commitment to our members not to taint the free flow of information that can make you a better trader from reaching you because we valued our own income above your ascertain of knowledge. According to NFA and CFTC Regulations, we are not an IB, and do not earn income in this fashion, and this can better assure you that the owners and operators of this website are not actively persuading any member of the public, including yourself, to deposit funds or incur expenses in any other manner in the Forex industry. The usage of certain software, brokers, and other tools by the owners and operators of Forex Forums Inc does not constitute an endorsement of these products and the businesses to which they belong.

You understand and agree that under no circumstances will ForexForums.com, it's owners, staff, or members be held liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special or exemplary damages for any use of this site or any linked contents, even if we are advised of the possibility of such damages. Your only remedy is to discontinue use of this site. You waive the rights of lawsuit for any damage happened in our site. ForexForums.com does not guarantee the accuracy of the information provided by it's owner's, staff, or members. ForexForums.com, it's owners and staff do not provide trade information and advice, nor does it guarantee the accuracy of "signals" or trade advice of any of its members.
Your Responsibility
It's your responsibility to keep your personal information and web links accurate, updated and complete. Any registered accounts with incorrect or incomplete information might be deactivated or removed accordingly. It is also incumbant upon you, the user, to provide information that you know not to be false, illegal, or that would otherwise cause damage, harm, or loss of funds to ForexForums.com or it's users.
We frown upon many types of specific behavior that you should familiarize yourself with. In particular, your account at ForexForums.com would be at risk of being temporarily banned (or permanently deleted in extreme cases) if you engage in the following behavior. Specifically we allow HTML in your posts throughout the board so you may present your content in a more suitable fashion (if using html editors), but if you should take advantage of this luxury by injecting javascripts, html exploits, iframes, any of which that contains third party advertisements or anything that may harm our members and guests computers this may result in permanent banning and deletion of your posts. Also, repeated profanity, which is filtered out, but we still would like to maintain a collegiate atmosphere on the boards and not partake in vulgarity. Also, treating other members with disrespect, starting fights (as opposed to healthy discourse/discussion), or otherwise making members uncomfortable to the point that complaints are made. Also, please try to stay on the topic of currencies, finance, the economy and in many cases you can talk about current events; however do not post spam-like posts that have nothing to do with the preceding topics or any current affairs.
NFA/CFTC Regulations
