lots of losers here huh, no offense
traded demo for a long time, went live and am doing pretty well. took some pro's advice and waited until I had $10,000 to trade on a 100:1 leverage account.

I'm new to forex and thinking of starting w/ $1,500. What would everyone recommend? Would it be wiser to start in the $100-$1000 or $1000-$5000 range?

New to forex, but not trading...what I did when I started trading futures was map out my average tick stop. So if your average trade set up in forex has a 20 pip stop that's a $200-$250 risk depending on slippage per lot. So then you have to decide what percentage of your capital you want to risk per trade.
Hopefully that'll help you determine amount to start with.
((for a mini account divide by 10))
starting with two seperate accounts both 12,000, one for swing/position trading and the other for day trading.
Much Love,
Dubs
