Re: please delete my account
Ahhh nananana, Instaforex is like taking over everything many IB's and affiliates lurking here some are good conservationists but they are definitely earning money if someone signs up under them thanks to whatever this board allows this to go on for.

Re: please delete my account
That's horse **** though in the most professional sense of the saying because I signed up with a new gmail account when using this board and its never gotten a spam email from any product, just thousands of emails from the board itself telling me of every little fart that goes on, I complained to the admins and they turned it off some how, ask them...

Re: please delete my account
Hi Jgombos,
Could you please show us examples of the spam in private or here in public, because we officially do not send spam messages to our members, nor do we condone the abuse any email or private messaging feature by other members to send spam. If this is happening we ask you and all members to report the offending parties; I simply do not see the forum from your eyes unless a problem arises but that goes back to me needing your feedback when these problems occur.
Beyond that, there are extensive controls you have over what messages can and can not be sent to you from the forum be it system mails, thread subscription updates, or other mailings that all members agree to have sent at sign up by default, but can control and turn off to a very large degree, or completely if they wish. Literally some members just turn it all off and we, even admins, can't get through to them; so the need to get any type of mail or system messages via email from Forexforums.com is completely unnecessary and does not hurt our feelings or our business because we are not profiting off of our members; not through emails, not through membership fees, or anything in between, this is a free resource, free to use, free to join, free to leave; but free to turn off the system mails.
Even more so, any methods of correspondence are sure to never have advertisements contained anywhere nor do they lead to any pages that are set up for you to buy anything. ForexForums.com does not earn money this way or any way that most foreign currency boards, blogs, and websites that do not directly offer forex services do in order to stay in operation. In short, this site earns just enough to operate; I earn money to operate my life by trading and took over this board in that order, not the other way around, so trading comes first here, not earning money off of our visitors which has never been our credo. As the administrator of ForexForums.com I am extremely concerned that you are upset by having been spammed by another member or perceive our system mails as spam, but in our terms these may or may not be sent to you at any given time and are most likely automatically sent by the forum and can be turned off in your control panel.
On that note I have prepared for you all a screenshot of your http://www.forexforums.com/forums/usercp.php page that control these emails that are sent to you, and as you see from the circled areas, you have great control over this.

We'd hate to see you go but if this is your desire we will oblige and delete your account.
Please private message me if you'd like to discuss this.

Re: please delete my account
I think it's more or less the automatic subscriptions, I myself get hundreds a day but keep them on because they do no harm; but I can see how this can totally litter someone's inbox with a simple email saying "Someone responded to your thread" or something, this can get old quickly I'm totally on board with that outlook with all our members.

Re: please delete my account
Never have we allowed any broker to "take over" ForexForums.com, we offer sponsorship packages that we are even thinking about doing away with because we want to be as unbiased as possible and I think the forum has plateaued in sense of visitors and our income that can handle operating a server to handle them, that's the only reason to even have banners on this site for anything, in theory "our group" can be philanthropists and run this place for free if anyone is interested I wouldn't mind a partner or two in that sense

Re: please delete my account
Well, I do have a thread that puts anyone to the challenge of signing up with ForexForums.com under a clean email and you will never get such an email, just emails from forexforums.com themselves which are:
- System Emails (Updates changes to your accounts)
- Welcome Email (At sign up)
- Password Reminder Emails (User initiated)
- Private Message Notification Emails (If someone sends you a private message OPT to have an email sent or not)
- Community Newsletter (Periodical you can OPT in or OUT of containing no ads)
Anything else is exactly what we do not condone, third parties abusing our board to send ads and we'd like to know who they are to make the site as clean and professional as possible.
Thanks everyone for understanding, we, I, all of us are on your side about spam

Re: Our new newsletter feature: YOU CAN OPT IN/OUT.
If you haven't gotten the newsletter yet it means we probably haven't sent one out since you joined or opted in.
For those of you that do not want the newsletter or any other correspondance from ForexForums.com PLEASE go to your User Contorl Panel (link at top of page) and go to OPTIONS ---->
http://forexforums.com/forums/attach...0644499361.jpg
Anything circled affects how this board sends you email or other notifications, but mostly emails that you may or may not want.
We all have differing opinions on what spam is but when you have complete control over what a website can or can not send to you, that means we are on your side and would not want you to consider us to be spammers (which we are anything but).

Just delete him, thats what he wants the customer is always right, besides he only posted about how he hated on Instaforex and nothing else, hardly a huge contributor like me or alot of us without similar complaints.

Re: please delete my account
We just don't delete people on a whim Dick, even if they ask becaues we'd like to see if there's a way to resolve things before taking that step. Some people just don't want to be a member anymore and don't elaborate but jgombos is accusing the website itself of spam which we don't do.
Not to air his public email out, but he uses a service that is set up to block against spam and even created a unique email/id for our website + this spam service (forexforums + unnamedspamblockservice .com) and still he gets spam from Forexforums.com --- something is not right here, either someone is abusing our system sending out spam ads or jgombos' definition of "spam" differs from ours which I can accept totally, agree to disagree because in our terms you all accept that you will be getting certain emails but can at no cost or hardship to you turn them off completely, so if you don't want to hear from us that's fine, you can belong to the forum without getting a single mailing from us if that is your desire.
I would like to see some examples of the spam before jgombos goes though if he does not mind sharing.

Re: please delete my account
Whatever mike, your getting all bent out of a shape that just came here to complain about instaforex lol, and now is complaining about you!
Delete him be done with it because you are right, some people's definition of SPAM and what they apply it to is very liberal.

Re: please delete my account
It really depends on your definition of spam, if you call 1000 emails about my threads being posted in to me that's not spam, but the sheer amount of these emails is spammish to me. But I know they're not trying to sell me anything in them, so it's hard to say ForexForums spams or not, but I just know in MY terms of SPAM they do not.
