put it on my 30min chart (my standard TF) and still the same. repaints to suit. This is no different from 90% of the indi's out there that put arrows at high/low reversal points on for them to vanish when the price surpasses them and then re-appear later (this can happen again and again).There is no holy indicator or system.

That's my assessment as well no matter what chart you put it on, except one hour or more this indicator changes so infrequently that I just was compelled to stop testing the 60min chart and switch back to a 30min and sure enough activity, so 30M or less it seems, but then we have this problem of it repainting as you see in my last video on this indicator for now sometimes 5 bars back as well.

And again, like in this other test I did the manual drawing of a trend line is the most useful thing you could have done in my opinion for this set up and it worked.

I still think its a good tool to some degree, but you'll be in for trouble if its the only thing on your chart, I dont disagree.



I have it part of a template that really works on a daily basis, you dont just stay fixated on the snake force, its just an additional tool to confirm trend and early indication of reversals at some times, but the higher time frame you go the better, this is true of any indicator of this kind. What I dont do is go long every time it turns green and short when it turns red, id be sitting there all day taking bad trades all over the place, its much more intuitive using the indicator than how some beginners to MT4 do, just trading flips of indicators or crossovers of moving averages, this is just a handicap for them, whats really important is to watch price and volume, in reality I've tested out alot of indicators and liked these the best. I dont have the ability to record a chart like above but I would not put it on a 1 minute chart and trade every flip like he does, I really believe its coded for a 15 or 30minute chart where I never notice repainting more than a bar back, even then it is understandable and not something that gets me into bad trades, it just keeps me aware of a potential reversal of some sort, usually very early.

It's not that I disagree with you, in fact I agree that this needs to be combined with something, and I think it is the trend line method because when I did draw the trend line in anticipation of a down move, the snake force did seem to pick up and be that solid red you look for simultaneously, and it repainted about 5 bars back but not as bad as on the 1Min charts, a slight readjustment of the height of the bars of the histogram itself when on the 1Min the solid turns to thin and sometimes back to green up to 7 or 8 bars back it looks like, that is just no good to follow by itself. So that is my only recommendation to you, but you know of this trend line method we've talked about it, I'm surprised to see you not use it at all Dick or suggest it to beginners in your method. Literally when the snake force was solid red and the trend line was broken, we had a worth while short, but I did not see this happening all the time, it just so happened this video caught it.

Well I guess thanks for making the videos... I mean, i guess in sped up time it makes more sense to me now how it changes constantly, you know i look at a chart and arent glued to it so my human eyes sometimes dont see these things happen i guess.

i still like it and will use it though, thanks for the warnings and the feedback, does anyone use it to any success?

I still use it too on almost any time frame chart but am more cautious of it, only giving it weight when above or below the LSMA middle line above which I look for longs, the snake force indicator turning green along with this (repainting or no) usually ends up telegraphing the move almost, same thing for a down move. So to each his own

Snake force again, truthfully, along with a trend line approach I can see the snake force indicator helping you re-enter a trend, not necessarily find the inception of one all the time like other indicators available.

This is for you tab, my final assessment is I don't like it too much, especially on lower time frames, on the 15 Min you see it repaint as far as 2 bars in the past but on 1 Min you see it go 6 or 7 bars back.

I even pointed out in another thread that I took a demo trade based on this indicator but looked over to my normal charts and realized I would have never taken a short position where I did. I don't even chalk it up to being confused by the indicator itself, it just isn't as effective as other things are, truly.

What's the difference between SnakeForce and SnakeInBorders... they look the same but one's in a historgram, one is on the bars.
