Since the question was posed in such a way as to invite an answer with the name of a single instrument, I would have to say,,, knowledge.

It's a piece of software.
It's limited on what it can do.
It can't think.
It isn't software that just reports volume or anything like that.
It's supposed to watch for specific conditions and trade for you based on those conditions.
Sorry, it can't.
If it was as simple as that the formula would be known by everyone.
They also admit there will be losses and that comment alone negates the "foolproof" method hyped upon.

In this instance Casey I have a leg up.
I'm a pc geek and am an amateur programmer in BASH.
I also run a hack forum for Linux.
This robot would be something that would take a bit more than a page full of hype to convince me it actually works.
edit: I think it prudent to mention my comments are only my opinion and I'm just as subject to be wrong as anyone else.

If I buy the Top Gun software do I just use there broker to trade. What do you recommend? Or should I try Pip boxer. I'm new to this, so any help would be appreciated.

I've owned both Top Gun and Pip Boxer. I still use Top Gun. Enough said.
As for a broker to use, I would ask around, there are benefits for getting the Top Gun software and E-Signal feeds for free. I personally don't and can't recommend FXDD or FXCM. I can tell you they are very reputable brokers and have facilitated many Top Gun subscribers to make hefty profits.

Using a different broker than FXCM and FXDD, I usually make back the $250/month it costs to rent the software and E-Signal feeds within the first day of trading.

Yes I understand that Jones, but you have to realize how much Top Gun puts things in your favor. Big investors could possibly use Top Gun to make millions of dollars every year, so the $250 per month fee is almost a non factor. Personally, if I were trading how I trade now with 3 or 4 lots per trade, I'd be making tens of thousands every week, but I am too weary of positions that large.

So what is the best indicator known to mankind? It doesn't look like anyone figured it out...

Well, I'd personally say it's a combination of 2 "indicators", one for trending markets and one for ranging markets. But the edge is to know where markets are headed, ie trending or ranging, so you need a system to show you the direction of the markets. I don't believe any one indicator is ALWAYS good, because if it's excellent at detecting break-outs and trending, it'll do miserably when things start ranging. And of course, if it's great for a ranging environment, it'll get clobberred when trending takes off. I know, because I've looked for this one-and-only indicator in the past, only to realize you first need a system to show you if markets are trending or ranging.
So once my system shows me this, I then turn to either my trending platform (which uses moving averages, optimized for each pair) or my raning platform (which uses a combination of "inverted" moving averages and Center of gravity).
I must say, has been working like a charm. I can't post any URLs just yet, but go visit my blog if you wish (it's in my profile thing) where I fully detail the approach.
Happy trading !

Center of Gravity
Here is the link if you wish to download the Center of Gravity. I also explain how it works in my blog, so once there, simply do a search on "Center of Gravity" if you need more info.

If you have an indicator that tell the future then you'd be a millionaire...don't leave all the work alone, you need to be on it and once you get that felling you'll be surprised...
