Lightbulb Will Obama Care indirectly bolster dollar?

Well, just when you thought ObamaCare was dead, it turns out they are trying EVERYTHING imaginable to pass this awful billI heard on the radio earlier that big money is staying on the sidelines waiting to see if Obama-care will be passed, which all but insures Republicans will take power in November elections and most likely the presidency in 2012 because it is so very well despised. And it is inferred that Republicans are more fiscally responsible, making the dollar stronger when they are the majority? Is that too conspiratorial?

I dont know why everyone is against this bill, it will change america and save many lives. So, good, if it boosts up the dollar and saves lives, people will look back and thank Obama.

The nanny state is not the solution to better health. US government already provides two medical coverage programs: Medicare (for senior citizens) and Medicaid (for low-income citizens). The president mentioned in his speech last week that those two programs are the greatest contributors to our skyrocketing deficit. So why not reform, improve and enhance those programs rather than create a third (or fourth or fifth) government medical bureaucracy called "universal health care"?

I do think that's a little conspiratorial, but it's hard to imagine anyone voting for Obama and Democrats after passing this bill (which WILL happen).

The government is so broke, how could they possibly manage a government option?

Jones DOES have a good point. I think he has earned himself some points for this.

I think it will actually end up saving people money, more money to spend, spurring the economy even more.

Washington (CNN) -- If House Republicans have their way this summer, the Bush-era tax cuts would become permanent, "Obamacare" would begin to be dismantled and energy regulations would be rolled back.

On Friday, House GOP leaders unveiled their summer agenda with an eye on the fall campaign, including those and other items that probably won't become law, but will highlight the party's message on the economy.

In a memo to GOP members, Majority Leader Eric Cantor promised a vote on the most contentious issue --extending the Bush-era tax cuts that expire at the end of the year — before the House begins its monthlong summer break in August.

Republican leaders have been mum on the details, but the measure is expected to renew the current rates for some period and lay out a framework for tax reform that lowers rates across the board. Many of the details, however, including which deductions would be eliminated, would be put off until next year.

Cantor's memo says the House will focus in the coming months on "addressing job creation and the economy, reducing spending and shrinking the size of the federal government while protecting and expanding liberty."

In addition to the tax issue, the majority of items Cantor cites for floor action -- votes to repeal portions of Obamacare, roll back "job-inhibiting" red tape and press for more domestic energy production -- will land with a thud in the Democrat-led Senate.
