An American soldier has opened fire on villagers near his base in southern Afghanistan and killed 16 civilians, according to President Hamid Karzai, who called it an 'assassination' and furiously demanded an explanation from Washington.

Nine children and three women were among the dead.

The killing spree deepened a crisis between US forces and their Afghan hosts over Americans burning Muslim holy books on a base in Afghanistan last month. The Koran burnings sparked weeks of violent protests and attacks that left some 30 dead. Six US service members have been killed by their Afghan colleagues since the burnings came to light, and the violence had just started to calm down.

'This is an assassination, an intentional killing of innocent civilians and cannot be forgiven,' Karzai said in a statement. He said he has repeatedly demanded the US stop killing Afghan civilians.

The Afghanis are going to want his head, and the US Military won't give it to them. Which means the USA just lost the hearts and minds of the Afghan civilians permanently thanks to one retard.

GUNMEN have attacked an Afghan memorial service for 16 villagers killed by a US soldier, shooting dead a member of the Afghan military and wounding a policeman in a hail of gunfire.

When did the mission change?

When the wants of the Government changed. The Middle East was never a winnable war, and was never started to be such. It was a "sustainable" war, much like what Vietnam was. America is busy doing whatever Israel says. Iran is next on the list, even though Iran has never done anything to America, ever. Ever. Not even so much as a rock. American puppets have been spreading their goodness of Democracy by bullets and death -- what a way to lead by example! Then, to turn around and call people terrorists... in their own land! Only the American bravado could do such a thing.

Get out of the Middle East, and police you own people.. last I checked you have a huge immigration/open-border problem, social welfare problem and a very dissatisfied American populous.

The border was always porous but Clinton militarized the Mexican border when enacting NAFTA under the guise of "Free Trade" but in reality, NAFTA waswhich was catastrophic for Mexico's poor class, but the success of NAFTA for America was dependent upon Mexicans staying in Mexico.

Mexicans would stay in Mexico if they had incentive to do so, and that's by giving them fair wages in jobs down there instead of making them slaves to NAFTA and World Trade.
