What I gleamed from this is even if you have a will to live, or your mother or father has a will to live, if "SOMEONE" some magical person in government thinks whatever's being done for them is futile, they must go and die, take a chill pill if you will.

I just watched that video, very odd indeed. Whatever you gleamed from the comments he made, he didn't say elderly or sick people are out of luck, but why not just say what everyone wants to hear in that if you have the will to go on, medical science should be allowed to respond to your will and get to work. What Obama seemed to have said is the opposite, that indeed there is some sort of higher power (on this earth) that will determine for you that even if a procedure might extend your life the odds are that it may not and that doctors ought not try.

If you look at it the way I look at it, it truly is frightening and I worry about my parents' lives in the near future when it comes time for them to possibly be put in the same position, life or death.
