Re: What is spike in Forex?
spike is a natural occurrence really, slippage is your platform or broker not being able to catch up to the price... a spike is a sudden real move in price because of a news announcement or something...

Re: What is spike in Forex?
Some brokers with low liquidity will see an increase in slippage during market events which cause spikes. As ace mentioned they are normal occurrences. The deeper the liquidity of your broker the less slippage you should experience.

Re: What is spike in Forex?
Manual trading has nothing to do with a spike. A spike is a natural occurrence as Ace mentioned and may happen after economic events, news releases, etc and traders adjust their positions. It depends on the liquidity of your broker when it comes to filling open orders and honoring pending orders. The higher the liquidity the better you get your orders filled and a good broker fills most orders at the rpice specified. Stay away from those who do not.
