Re: AUD/USD Breaks to New Historic Levels Sad because I was shorting the **** out of this pair Friday thinking it was topping out each time, unbelievable im down quite a bit but im sticking with the trades because i msure its going down.l

AUDUSD At Record Highs, What's Next? AUDUSD Reaching New Highs on Friday, Ideas on it's direction in the upcoming week.
It was just luck that I was testing AUDUSD on two different methods (videos) at the same time on Friday when this happened and you can see which might have helped you more or less. The first video was a TopGunSoftware test, in which I was comparing two different settings on the same chart on AUDUSD while this occurred which is another discussion for another time, but you can see how price really wanted to reach higher highs, met significant resistance and may or may not spell a reversal or at least a short term pullback to support levels on the pair.

I can not be sure since we are at such historic highs and advise everyone to take caution here, if any of these tests or videos prove anything is that anything can happen, technical indicators can be violated, support will become resistance, up is down, left is right, I hate to confuse people and paint a rosey picture of the market but I myself got into some short trades here having to exit break even because psychologically I was in the mindset of this being an historic high, so also the fundamental aspect of the trade did not do as well for me except for one.
Even the mouteki demark new indicator for MT4 helps you catch the explosive yet not so quick that you can not identify the set up that resulted in the new high, but based on their entry methods you're not looking for shorts here just yet so the psychological mindset of being at some historic high so it can't go any higher isn't always going to help you in trading over following your own rules based on your own system (whatever it may be).
