Forex market -101

The foreign exchange market (FOREX) is the biggest and the most liquid market in the world with an average daily trading volume of about $4 trillion. In other words, the market is so large that no group or entity can manipulate it. A foreign exchange transaction is one where one currency is bought/sold for another one at a specific rate. This currency pair rate changes every second because of the constantly fluctuating global demand and supply for both currencies of the pair.

Low Margin

Here, at Trader’s Way, we provide our clients with some excellent margin trading conditions for all types of accounts. The trader can start trading with a leverage ratio of 1:1, though we do not recommend it. A leverage ratio is just a credit ratio. A margin call may occur quickly even though there are sufficient funds in the account.

For example:
A client opts for a leverage ratio of 1:100 and opens a position for 100,000 EUR/USD at the rate of 1.40, The margin would then be 100.000 x 1.40 / 100 = $1400.
And if the market moves in the opposite direction, the balance will start to approach 0 and the traders position will be closed when the balance reaches the following amount:
X = Stop-Out level x Margin = 0.1 (10%) x 1400 = 140
That is, the system will automatically close the traders position when the balance reaches $140 in this case, given the leverage ratio of 1:100.
And if the client opts for a lower leverage ratio, such as 1:10, then the margin will be 140,000 / 10 = 14,000, and any positions will be closed when the balance reaches the following amount:
X = Stop-Out Level x Margin = 0.1 (10%) x 14000 = 1400

So remember, the lower the ratio, the higher the balance amount at which open positions will be automatically closed. That means it is better to choose a higher leverage ratio, but not trade at the maximum level or open positions of large volumes. This will greatly reduce your trading risks. Trader’s Way and Commissions

Advantages of CFD

A CFD (Contract For Difference – a contract for the difference in price) is an agreement between two parties, typically described as buyer and seller, relating to the value of a particular asset. Under this agreement, the buyer pays the seller, the difference between its current valuation and its value at a given time in the future (at the moment of closing the contract) if the value of the asset decreases. If the value of the asset increases, the seller will pay the buyer. Thus, in a Contract for Difference transaction, the side which correctly predicts the direction of price movement gets a profit.

A CFD is a derivative financial instrument that allows investors to speculate on asset price movements without the need for ownership of the underlying asset. It simplifies the process of trading considerably without the requirement of ownership of the asset.

Using CFDs, traders can trade in considerable number of various financial instruments such as currencies, stocks, stock indexes, commodities, raw materials, metals, etc., and, all from a single account. The cost per trade with CFDs is much lower compared to real assets, leverage ratios are greater, the requirements are simpler, and traders can trade in any instruments such as futures, options, SPOT and so forth. As a rule, CFD contracts have a real basis and their price corresponds precisely to the basic asset price. The Profit/Loss under an open contract is recalculated constantly and in real time and is displayed in your trading terminal.

CFD Online Trading - 1

CFDs are usually traded online using electronic trading systems. A trader receives quotes in real time and can make his/her transaction at any moment.For example, a trader plans to go long on EUR/USD. In the quotation/transaction window he sees a current Bid and Ask price similar to the line below (demonstration only):
1.38505 / 1.38510

The difference between the Bid price and the Ask price is the Spread, which can range anything from a few pips to more. For the euro/dollar pair, a change in price by 0.0001 is referred to as a change by 1 pip, with the spread in this case being equal to 0.5 pip. This small spread is usually available for CFD Online Trading on ECN accounts. Other accounts can have a spread of up to 2 pips, which is also very small.

To purchase euros, the trader needs to determine a transaction volume (for instance, 1 lot which equals 100,000 euros) and press the "BUY" button, with the transaction details being reflected in the "Trade" window of the trading terminal.
Let's assume that the price has increased and the new price is:
1.39010 / 1.39020

The trader opts to close the position at this point. To do that the trader must click on "Close on the current price". The closing of the position (that is, selling the previously purchased euro) will occur at the price of the BID that is 1.39010.
This transaction will lead to the following situation:
The trader will have purchased 100,000 Euros (1 lot) at a price of 1.38510 by spending100,000 * 1.38510 = 138,510 dollars
The trader will have sold 100,000 Euros at a price of 1.39010 and received 100,000 * 1.39010 = 139,010 dollars
The difference of the transaction is: 139010 - 138510 = 500 dollars

Monitor the leverage ratio

Here, at Trader’s Way, Online and CFD Forex broker, we provide our clients with their preferred leverage, upwards to 500:1. For example, if a client deposits $10,000 and opens 1 lot of EUR/USD at the price of 1.40000, the client will need to spend $140,000. If the leverage ratio used for the account is 100:1, for example, the margin required needs to be only $1400; the size of this margin depends on the leverage ratio selected for that account type. However, the real leverage ratio used in this transaction is:
140,000 / 10,000 = 14

Therefore, the client would be using a leverage ratio of only 14:1 out of the possible 100:1 leverage ratio available. Using this leverage ratio effectively will significantly reduce the risks of losing the margin. For more information on leverages and risks, check out Trader’s Way.
