Oanda is a huge broker. Now they claim to have 48% of client accounts in the green so to speak. That is a stunning figure if true considering the other ominous often discouraging figure of 9/10 traders fail.

I'd say its important to know which brokers most people go to, if you get ripped off by a broker you never go again, but a broker with steady alexa traffic could be the cause its a legitimate broker.

lol @ giving Alexa any credit at all. It's a joke and doesn't even correlate with traffic increases. I'm using it with a couple of friends and when we visit a small site together it's already like 200k. More than some of the forex brokers...
Yes, it's a different if it's 1k or 500k but please don't give it too much credit. Sites with 50k can have more unique visitors than sites with 5k Alexa rank.

There's a huge difference between "brokers" and ECNs. Brokers have the job of trading against you, whle ECNs are simply direct bank feeds. Much cleaner trading, although commissions are required.

This is not a scientific choice at all. Most of these brokers have their shortcomings like slippage, funds withdrawal and so on. Once I found one website where, in my opinion, the most reliable brokers are represented. If interested here is the link. Good luck and big profits

Anybody prepared to invest and trade based on alexa - which can be 100% manipulated if you own the site and have enough money to throw at online marketing - needs their head read. I read a post earlier today on this Forum (How I uncovered Easy-Forex scam and few conclusions) … isn’t that list showing Easy-Forex at p9 ! It’s soooo stupid it’s laughable.

I hear good things from about Oanda, they are #2 on the list. what do you think/

I will greatly applause someone's advice on how to determine a profit making Forex Expert Advisor - so far I have purchased plenty , however all of them seem to either lose or simply fail, or if they do, they lose all of it in one day.

I trade over FXCM and that's the best broker i know at the moment. So i think the alexa list is quite good, traffic is a creteria. But sure, there are a lot of scam brokers which a huge advertising, which will make them look good in traffic rankings, too.

Unfortunately there's no way to tell if this company just gives good rankings to the highest bidder. You know, just like Moody's and Stand and Poor gave AAA ratings to junk investments all so they could cash in. Watch the movie "Inside Job" and you'll see what I'm talking about if you don't already know. I can't imagine why we still take these companies seriously when we know they do pay for play.
