First about disadvantages. Exotic currencies are often illiquid, traded in low volumes, tend to be highly volatile and can be expensive to trade because the spreads are usually larger.

Then about advantages. Although exotic currencies can be exceedingly volatile, in the past they have tended to trend for long periods. Identifying a probable trend for an exotic currency early may create the best opportunity for a substantial profit.

FX_loser, you shared some good points in forex review. However, I don't like to trade exotic currency pair. My first priority is major currency pairs.

Exotic pairs have low volume and also have hogh spread. So I feel no interest on exotic pair. If you any good strategy to trade with exotic pair please share.
